Macey Light

K&R Farm of NC, LLC is proud to welcome Macey, the 2026–2027 Uwharrie Charter Academy FFA Chapter President, to our farm family.

Throughout her senior year, Macey will gain hands-on experience in poultry, equine, swine, cattle, and goat care while learning about animal nutrition, health, vaccinations, show preparation, and responsible livestock management. She will also experience the business side of agriculture, including financial losses, changing agricultural markets, conservation, community involvement, and the differences between natural and organic agriculture.

Kevin will share his knowledge of animal nutrition, health, and care, while Rebecca will help Macey learn the importance of sportsmanship, handling both wins and losses gracefully, and understanding the realities of operating a farm business.

Macey will also assist us at poultry shows and our feed table, where she can learn from experienced breeders, meet members of the agricultural community, and help provide feed samples and information.

Whenever possible, we will connect her experiences at K&R Farm with what she is learning in her agriculture classes. Our goal is simple: encourage, educate, and invest in the agricultural leaders of tomorrow.
